Read Across the Villages

Reading is fun. And children in Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo found out just how much fun on Dr. Seuss' birthday, March 2.

At the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building, village children, their family members and community residents gather for a reading celebration as part the nation's largest reading event, Read Across America. A mighty band of volunteers organizes the party, which was sponsored by the civic association.
